Your Child Doesn’t See the World the Same Way.
Neither Do We.
CareWorks was founded on a simple conviction: every child with autism deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based care delivered by clinicians who genuinely care. Today we serve families across Virginia, North Carolina, and New Jersey with the same commitment that guided our very first session.
Our Mission: Quality Autism Care for Every Family Who Needs It
Too many families struggle with months-long waitlists, complex insurance claims, and impersonal care. CareWorks was founded to dismantle those barriers. We combine clinical rigor with a family-first philosophy so that parents never have to choose between quality and accessibility.
Our mission is simple: provide individualized, evidence-based treatment to every family who needs it, regardless of location or circumstance. We operate therapy centers in Suffolk, VA and Greensboro, NC, and deliver flexible in-home services across all three states, including New Jersey.

Our Evidence-Based Approach to Autism Treatment
Applied Behavior Analysis is the gold-standard treatment for autism spectrum disorder, backed by over five decades of peer-reviewed research. We never apply a one-size-fits-all model. Each treatment plan is built from comprehensive functional behavior assessments conducted by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, ensuring goals are meaningful, measurable, and specific to your child.
Our approach integrates naturalistic teaching strategies, structured discrete trial training, and social skills programming. We track progress through continuous data collection and adjust interventions in real time. Parents receive transparent reports and participate in regular team meetings, because an informed family is an empowered family.
Functional Behavior Assessments tailored to each child’s unique profile
Naturalistic, play-based teaching paired with structured skill-building sessions
Continuous data collection with transparent, parent-accessible progress reports
Parent training and caregiver coaching integrated into every treatment plan
A Team That Takes Progress Personally
Behind every breakthrough is a passionate clinician. Our team of BCBAs, BCaBAs, and Registered Behavior Technicians bring deep expertise, continuous training, and genuine heart to every session.

View BioA History Built on Compassion and Clinical Integrity
CareWorks began with a single clinic and a small team of BCBAs who saw families struggling to access quality autism treatment in their communities. Rather than waiting for the system to change, they built something better. What started as a local practice in Suffolk and Southeastern Virginia quickly grew into a multi-state provider as word spread about the results families were experiencing.
Today, CareWorks operates therapy centers in Suffolk and Greensboro, delivers in-home services across all three states, and employs a growing team of over 50 clinicians serving more than 500 families. Despite our growth, we have never lost the personal, family-centered culture that defined our earliest days. Every BCBA on our team still knows their clients by name, still celebrates their milestones, and still picks up the phone when a parent has a question.

Launched by a team of experienced BCBAs who envisioned accessible, family-centered autism treatment in underserved communities.

What Families Want to Know About Our Team
Parents have questions, and we believe they deserve thorough, honest answers. Here are the topics families ask about most when learning about the people behind their child’s care.
Our therapy team includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts (BCaBAs), and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Every clinician is fully credentialed, background-checked, and completes our rigorous internal training program before working with clients. BCBAs supervise all treatment plans and directly oversee RBTs during sessions to ensure fidelity and quality.
All BCBAs at CareWorks hold a master’s degree (or higher) in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field, and maintain active certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Many also carry state licensure in the jurisdictions where they practice. They complete required continuing education hours annually and participate in regular peer-review sessions to stay at the forefront of best practices in autism treatment.
New hires complete a structured onboarding program that covers our clinical protocols, ethical guidelines, data collection systems, and family communication standards. RBTs complete the BACB’s 40-hour training requirement plus additional CareWorks-specific modules before they ever work with a client. Once in the field, clinicians receive ongoing supervision that exceeds BACB minimums, participate in monthly team trainings, and undergo regular competency assessments to ensure treatment fidelity.
Three things distinguish us: consistency, communication, and community. We assign dedicated treatment teams so your child works with familiar faces every session. We provide transparent progress reports and encourage parents to participate in goal-setting. And we foster a supportive community where families can connect. Unlike larger corporate providers, our clinical leadership remains hands-on across every location, ensuring the standard of care never dilutes as we grow.
Yes, we are always looking for passionate, qualified behavior analysts and RBTs to join our team. We offer competitive compensation, professional development stipends for continuing education, mentorship programs for early-career BCBAs, and a collaborative work environment focused on clinical integrity. If you are interested in joining CareWorks, reach out through our contact page and indicate that you are inquiring about employment.
Our clinical leadership team oversees operations across all three locations, conducting regular site visits, chart reviews, and treatment integrity assessments. We use standardized clinical protocols across every center and maintain centralized data systems so our BCBAs can benchmark outcomes and share best practices. Every family, whether in Suffolk, Greensboro, or New Jersey, receives the same standard of care.
